"Everyone on the UM Team is looking forward to playing against cricketers from the other teams. I'm sure friendships will be established. At the end of the day, we're all going to go back with wonderful memories and who knows, we might end up taking the Chanderpaul Trophy to Coral Gables", stated Kalpesh Patel, Captain of the UM Team. American College Cricket has teamed up with the LAJ Foundation which is seeking the donation of school supplies for inner city schools in Jamaica. Cricket fans attending the Championship are asked to contribute to this worthy goal. "This is only the beginning", stated Lloyd Jodah, President of American College Cricket. "The response from Universities throughout the United States has been tremendous. Given the necessary time to seek funding from the Athletic Departments, Universities are confident that they will come to South Florida next year for the American College Cricket Spring Break 2010. We'll have well over 30 Teams next year". Cricket action gets underway on Friday March 20 at 9:00 AM and continues until Sunday March 22 when the Championship will be decided.
