The championship trophy, up until 1970 was called the "World Championship Game Trophy." The name was changed in 1970 to honor the former and legendary head coach of the Green Bay Packers, Vince Lombardi, who captured five NFL championships during his nine years at Green Bay. Vince died the year the Super Bowl Trophy first donned his name. The Patriots come to the final as favorites, despite losing to the Giants during the regular season. The Giants will want to prove that the victory they achieved this season was no fluke, and neither was their Super Bowl victory four years ago. This will however not be a factor in deciding this year's Super Bowl. Once again, the winner will be decided based on which team can stop or limit their opponent's passing game. It will be all about defense. I don't visualize a high scoring game. The team that puts 20 points on the board can possibly come out victorious. My prediction is that the New York Giants will win 20-17.
