The Heat index is still rising, though not as drastic as the signing of the big three (James, Bosh & Wade) a week ago, as Miami continues to shape their roster for the fall classic – the 2010-11 NBA season. The Heat this week re-signed free agent forward Udonis Haslem who has been an integral part of their line up in recent years. He reportedly left about $14 million on the table to stay with his old team. Haslem got a five-year, $20 million deal from Miami, passing on a possible $34 million from either Dallas or Denver who showed interest in his service. Meanwhile, the Heat finally had guard/forward Mike Miller signing on the dotted line to a five-year contract worth around $25 million, despite opportunities of making more money elsewhere. The swing man signing is also somewhat of a reunion with his former Gator teammate Haslem as both roomed together in college. Miller shot a career-best 48 percent from 3-point range last season with Washington, with career averages of 13.7 points and 5.1 rebounds. Also expected to sign is free agent 14-year veteran center Zydrunas Ilgauskas, ridding the Cavaliers of another beloved son. The two-time all-star 7-foot-3 Lithuanian Ilgauskas, started his career with Cleveland in 1997 has a career average of 13.8 points and 7.7 rebounds.
