The striker's switch to the Ricoh Arena has been on the verge of completion for some time following the former Watford and man's release from prison after serving time on assault related charges. Personal terms were agreed and a medical was completed over a week ago, and the transfer was finally expected to go through on Thursday after late interest from several Championship clubs. Coventry City manager Aidy Boothroyd said: "We are very hopeful it will be done by the end of Friday."

Jamaica National footballer Marlon King is expected to sign for Championship side Coventry City this Friday and could go straight into his new team squad for game against Bristol City on the weekend.
