SoccerBallHaiti All-Stars moves into joint first place with FC Internaxionale with a decisive victory last Saturday over Eagles FC, as the Caribbean American Soccer Association (CASA) Super League continued at the Lauderhill Sports Complex.

After a lackluster first half performance, Haiti All-Stars put on a second half show that resulted in a resounding 5-0 victory over Eagles FC.  Earlier on in the contest, Eagles FC had several clear cut chances, but failed to convert in the first half that ended scoreless.

In the second half, they were no match for a Haitian team that dominated with 2 goals apiece from last year’s league MVP Rudy Lomera and Patrick Janvier. Pierre Elusma finished off the scoring to complete the 5-0 rout.

In the feature game of the night, the new look Western United playing with mostly younger players went into a 2-0 lead against BC United with goals from Kirk Henricks (penalty) and Marvin Mundai.

Western had the game under control until the final seven minutes of play when BC United Winder Webster scored from just inside the penalty box to put his team back in the game at 1-2. Then with two minutes from the final whistle, former Western player Brian Palmer floated a free kick into the back of the net to earn BC United a 2-2.

The draw moves BC United into third place with 11 points, on top of Unity FC, Elite FC and Carib United FC with nine points apiece.

Early in the evening in the second Master’s League Game of the season, it was Limers FC defeating Lightning Bolts FC by a score of 1-0.
