Olympic and World Championships 100m and 200m champion Usain Bolt was reportedly back on the track yesterday in his first training session since his injury at the UWI Bowl. The mega star worked out yesterday for the first time after a lower back injury has forced a premature end to his 2010 season, less than a week after the Jamaican lost his first race in two years back in August. Bolt was suffering from tightness in his back that restricted his ability to generate power in his stride risking injury to his hamstrings or calf muscles if he continued racing. He would miss Diamond League appearances in Zurich and Brussels but stressed at the time he is looking forward to next year’s World Championships in Daegu, South Korea and the 2010 London Olympics. So naturally Bolt was back yesterday when Glen Mills' Racers Track Club opened its program for 2011 track and field season yesterday with a number of athletes in action.
