The polls and pundits have spoken, and now it’s the voters’ turn to speak. Early-voting have brought out millions across the country (well over a million in Florida) who have already cast their ballots, but the vast majority will vote on November 4. Florida remains a toss up state, although Obama is leading in the polls. It’s no wonder both candidates were in the Florida this week jockeying for the state with a cache of 27 electoral votes – a must win for John McCain and a state that would definitely put Barack Obama over the top. McCain, on Wednesday, with just six days away, rallied the troops in Miami, met with military advisors in Tampa and stopped in at a small business in Rivera Beach – all in a last ditch effort to win over the crucial battleground state. The Arizona senator’s mission was clear, to paint Obama as a tax and spend liberal, while touting himself as a candidate who will cut taxes and warning against a Democratic majority government. McCain insists he has the Democrats just where he wants them, but the national (and Florida) polls show him trailing and time is winding out. "The pundits have written us off, just like they've done several times before," McCain told the rally crowd. "They were wrong before, and they are wrong now." Obama meanwhile, was also lighting up the Sunshine State on Wednesday, appearing in a rally of over 20,000 supporters with running-mate Joe Biden at the BankAtlantic Center in Sunrise. The rally ran concurrently with a 30-minute infomercial, which included live footage from the BankAtlantic Center. “Sunrise, I’ve got two words for you: Six days,” Obama said to rousing cheers. “After 21 months of campaigning we are six days away from changing America.” He told supporters they can’t afford to get complacent at this point, urging them to vote early and help to get out the vote on Election Day.
