The family of a 34 year-old Haitian American who died at a WalMart store on Black Friday may sue the conglomerate, according to reports. WalMart temporary worker, Jdimytai Damour of Queens, NY according to an autopsy on Monday, was in fact trampled to death at the doors of a WalMart store. Nassau Police Commissioner Lawrence Mulvey told reporters that Damour of Queens, NY died of ‘positional asphyxiation’. Damour, who was in a reception area of the Green Acres Mall, Valley Stream store early on Black Friday, the traditional after Thanksgiving sale day, when hundreds of bargain hungry shoppers broke through the exterior doors, knocked him down and trampled all over him, according to the police. The family hired a lawyer and is considering filing a lawsuit against the retail giant. Damour’s death has caused a uproar against the store and the Black Friday rush, calling into question security issues which should be put in place to avoid a recurrence of this event. The victim’s mother, who lives in Haiti and is a retired housekeeper from Pierre Hotel, is expected to come to the US for her son’s funeral.
