The word ‘sessions’ may have taken on a whole new meaning for a psychologist, who is accused of having sex numerous times with a female patient and asking her insurance to pick up the tab. According to the Florida Department of Health records, these ‘sessions’ carried a price tag of $1,400.

The accused, Dr. Daniel Lerom, 49, his patient ‘H.F.’ 37, had a sexual relationship between February and May of 2009, according to the report filed in January. Lerom also continually asked H.F. for her prescription drugs for his back pain the lawsuit alleged.

But things turned sour when Lerom’s wife learned about the affair. Now, in addition to getting his license suspended, Lerom’s patient is suing him for a laundry list of things including malpractice, gross negligence, breach of duty of care and infliction of emotional distress.

The suit claims the patient suffered a “complete emotional collapse” and was institutionalized after Lerom rejected her as a patient and a lover.

Leron’s alleged text messages to H.F., such as “U r sooo hot!!! i worry that i m holding u back from a younger stud who can really meet your needs!! lol!!” were filed in the lawsuit and the DOH documents.

Despite ending H.F.’s treatment last February, records show Lerom was still billing her insurance company.

Florida Surgeon General Ana Viamonte Ros in her report wrote: “Dr. Lerom's willingness to engage in sexual misconduct with a patient ... and to exploit her for the insurance proceeds as well as for her prescription medication demonstrate a serious defect in Dr. Lerom's judgment and moral character.”
