micheleˍpierre-louis.jpgHaving spent just over a year in office, Haiti’s Prime Minister Michele Pierre-Louis is facing possible removal, if a group of six Haitian senators get their way. They are calling for Pierre-Louis’ removal, on the grounds that she has been moving too slowly to solve the country’s problems.

International observers are saying that any attempt to remove Pierre-Louis, who has gained the admiration and respect of the international community, would be an extremely negative factor in Haiti’s attempt to obtain overseas funding and aid for its social and economic recovery.
