On view in MOCA's lobby gallery, the "Donna Karan & Philippe Dodard" exhibit pairs select pieces from Karan's spring/summer 2012 collection with Dodard's iconic artwork. Born in Port-au-Prince, Dodard is a celebrated graphic artist and painter known for his blend of Caribbean mythological imagery and modern art. And Dodard's signature strokes, from his inky graphics to his mythical creatures, are all over the collection sleek dresses and separates. Dodard and Karan have also worked together on Haiti Artisan Project initiative from the Urban Zen Foundation, which sponsors the production of art, accessories, clothing, and home furnishings designed in Haiti.
