Women in_Production_2012Just in time for Haitian Heritage Month celebrations in May, "Women in Production" 2012 returns to Miami Beach on May 5. The popular trade fair and retail marketplace will be held at the Miami Beach Convention Center on Saturday, May 5, from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. and on Sunday, May 6, from 10:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.

Visitors will have access to the best products and services from Haiti's top women entrepreneurs and artisans. This special event will offer one-of-a-kind pieces and limited-edition series in home décor, fashion and accessories, natural herbal cosmetics, and spa and wellness products.

Last year's event featured popular accessories designer Phelicia Dell, with her unique beaded and painted sisal handbags and matching fashion accessories from her then latest Vé Vé collection. The unique metal, wood and horn jewelry of Boîte à Bijoux, by designer Sibylle Touat Denis was also available last year. Officials have promised that this year's set of exhibitors will continue the event's same high standards of quality and variety.

Launched in 2011 by the Haitian American Chamber of Commerce of Florida in association with Femmes en Démocratie, the Women in Production event was designed for Haitian businesswomen to showcase their products, raise product awareness, meet buyers, build business relationships and enter export markets.
