Local entrepreneurs, Michael Lewis and Tyrone Robertson executives of Caribbean Marketing and Media Corp (CMM) have stepped up their Caribbean broadcast with the launch of Caribcast TV, a Digital Television service.
The service, which will stream live Caribbean content to the Diaspora worldwide via radio and TV, will be available to anyone with high-speed internet access, a Caribcast TV set top box and a traditional television set.
The local community is no stranger to CMM TV which has been broadcasting Caribbean programs on flat screen TVs mounted in Caribbean restaurants in South Florida for the past 12 months. The quality of the programs broadcasted on the channels lead to a call for the Lewis and Robertson to provide the service to individual homes and after months of preparation, the service was launched.
The new service was developed to fulfill the needs and demand of the growing Caribbean Diaspora in the US, UK, Canada and all over the world to keep them in touch with what’s happening in their native countries or islands. Packages to be offered include television and radio stations representing a variety of news, sports, music, family, religious and educational programming. In addition, hundreds of hours of movies, cultural performances and other Caribbean programming will be available via Video on Demand and Pay per View. Subscribers may also access the service via the Caribcast TV website (www.caribcast.tv).
Participating TV & Radio Networks include, but are not limited to, TVJ, CVM, RETV, JNN, MTM, RJR, FAME FM (from Jamaica); Gayelle TV, CNC3, ieTV, Ebony 104 FM (From Trinidad & Tobago) & a myriad of other channels from the Caribbean that reflect the diverse makeup of the Diaspora.
