"I look forward to this new year with FCSA as I believe our team can truly make a difference in the lives of our member CSAs and succeed in the completion of the goals of our company," says President Russell. The newly elected board also includes: Vice-President Leandro Ingraham (St. Leo University), Secretary Stephanie David (Miami-Dade College), Treasurer, Jarrel Hall (St. Thomas University) and Public Relations Officer, Jonathan Lord (Johnson & Wales University). For South Florida, Broward County is represented by District 5 director, Fabrice Stuart (Broward College) and Miami-Dade is represented by District 6 director, Ludlow Dawes III (University of Miami). The new board has begun planning for this year's activities, including the annual Fall Leadership Retreat and the Spring Caribbean Conference.

The statewide Florida Caribbean Students Association (FCSA) has selected new leaders for their 2012 to 213 academic year. Under the leadership of returning president, Danika Russell from University of Central Florida, the FCSA executive board will be responsible for promoting communication among Caribbean college students in Florida and campaign on behalf of the Caribbean-American students body on critical issues such as education, tuition costs and cultural awareness.
