Gray Dogs trample Grasshoppers to win tournament |

 The Fort Lauderdale Gray Dogs once more secured the trophy for the for the annual Tampa Bay Grasshoppers Veteran’s Weekend Tournament by delivering a 3-2 penalty shoot out over host team, Tampa Bay Grasshoppers.
This was the fourth year in a row that the Gray Dogs emerged victorious in this tournament, knocking off teams like Miami Surf and the Grasshoppers.
The 2-day tournament was challenging for the victors who played one person short on Saturday and yet losing only one of the 6 games played. The team's MVP Wesley Walton earned this coveted award by playing both ends of the field and showing off his skills at the amazement of opponents, spectators and even team-mates.
The tournament played each Veteran's Day weekend also featured exhibition games played by the Miami Field Hockey and Tampa Bay all women's teams. This was also the first time that Florida State and the University of Miami teams played in this tournament.
