As the US Major League Soccer season ends this weekend, Los Angeles Galaxy David Beckham has agreed to move to AC Milan on loan in a bid to stay in contention for a spot in England’s national team.

Beckham who formerly played in Europe for Manchester United and Real Madrid needs two more appearances to surpass Bobby Moore’s 108 to become England's most-capped outfield player. So with the close of the MLS season the 33 year old midfielder is seizing the opportunity to show his form competing in the European League where the level of competition is higher.

Beckham has not played for the British National team in 16 months primarily because the team’s brass believes his fitness and skill level are not up to par. They have little respect for Americas MLS and maintain that Beckham has not shown the form to be considered for the National team.

He is expected to join Milan in January and his hoping to secure a spot when England faces Spain next February in a friendly.
