Miami Beach Community Health Center (MBCHC) will add Saturday appointments, in addition to its regular weekly schedule, to provide required back-to-school physicals. As a convenience to families, MBCHC has added Sat., August 9 from 7:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. and Sat. Aug. 16 from 7:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. at its North Miami site at 12340 NE 6th Court and Miami Beach site at 710 Alton Road.
"We are pleased to extend our service hours and offer back-to-school physicals at our convenient locations," stated Kathryn Abbate, CEO of Miami Beach Community Health Center. "Miami Beach Community Health Center is a top provider of pediatric services and strives to meet the health care needs of our community with quality, affordable health care."
Back-to-school physicals will meet the Florida requirements for children entering schools, including medical examinations and immunizations for poliomyelitis, rubella, mumps, tetanus and other communicable diseases as determined by the Department of Health.
MBCHC will offer back-to-school examinations for a one-time fee of $35 per child valid through August 2008. Each child that receives a back-to-school physical will receive a free school kit, while supplies last. Make your appointment now, walk-ins are accepted.
