Jamaica, who had hit seven unanswered goals past the Bahamians in the first-leg match on Sunday, win the tie 13-0 on aggregate and advance to CONCACAF’s semi-final round stage of qualifying for the 2010 World Cup Finals in South Africa.
Meanwhile the Caribbean top ranked team Trinidad and Tobago will travel to Burmuda to try and avenge 1-2 defeat they suffered at home last Sunday to avoid elimination from the tournament.
Wednesday’s match at the Trelawny Multi-Purpose Stadium on Jamaica’s north coast was the “home” game for the Bahamas. The Bahamians agreed to play both their fixtures in Jamaica after world governing body FIFA ruled their facilities at home unfit for the international engagement.
Jamaica’s Reggae Boyz led 5-0 at half-time after opening the scoring in the 24th minute.
From an attack on the right flank, Andy Williams collected the ball in the box and passed off to Deon Burton, who hit a low right-footer into the goal.

Burton, a scoring hero when Jamaica qualified for the 1998 World Cup Finals in France, made it 6-0 in the 56th minute.
Bermuda used two goals from their muscular forward John Barry Nusum to stun regional powerhouse Trinidad and Tobago in their first-leg match on.
Local fans booed the T&T Soca Warriors at Marvin Lee Stadium as they stumbled to their first ever defeat against Bermuda to complicate their path to the next round.
T&T’s Colombian coach Francisco Maturana offered very little explanation at the end of the game, except to say that he accepts responsibility for the astonishing defeat.
