It will be a big showdown this Saturday at the Lauderhill Sports Complex when the hard hitting Jamaica and Pakistan do battle for the Goldson Spine Rehabilitation Trophy in the finals of Lauderhill International Cricket competition.

Pakistan, who won the competition last year, amassed 197 runs in their semi-final encounter against Sri Lanka will seek to put away the Jamaicans who piled up 215 runs against Lauderhill. The game is expected to be a slug fest although both teams’ bowling attack will look to play a major role. In fact, the way both teams play the game will likely come down to the team which produces the better bowling.

Jamaica’s Mark Johnson, who made the first century of the season with a mammoth 106 runs which included 13 fours and 4 sixes against Lauderhill, is expected to play a role in their batting. He will be assisted by openers Shawn Beckford and Ken Wright, along with Renardo Francis and Damion Wellington who scored 54 runs in the semies.

However Pakistan also posseses a balance line up with the likes of Maiuddin Alimaui and Shane Ford, who scored 64 and 37 runs in the semi-final. Openers Mahammad Quershi and Irfan Hassan along with Mudassar Waquar are expected to play a role.
