The latest Forbes' ranking of the best and worst cities for commuters will come as no surprise for anyone who has driven through rush-hour traffic in South Florida. Miami is ranked as the third worst city in the U.S. for commuters to try to manage every day.

The daily commute in and out of Miami could carry with it 50 hours of delays per year. Among the problems cited by Forbes is a "skimpy public transit system." Miami public transit only services 3% of daily commuters.

The primary problem, according to Forbes, is simply urban sprawl. The phenomenon causes only 31% of commuters to make it to work in under 20 minutes.
