Foxy Brown arrested…again!

p7_Foxy Brown 3.jpgThe New York City Department of Probation is seeking to have Trinidadian-born rapper Foxy Brown incarcerated, after she was arrested outside of a beauty supply store last Thursday in Pembroke Pines, Florida. In 2004 Brown was sentenced to anger management classes and three years probation in Oct. 2006, for assaulting two Manhattan nail salon employees over a $20 manicure and never had permission from her probation officer to travel to Florida. Brown now faces up to a year in prison for violating the terms of her probation. The fracas started while Brown and an associate were sampling beauty products at the Queen Beauty Supply Store in Pembroke Pines, however when told she had to leave because the store was closing, Brown threw the hair glue and spit on the owner before exiting the store. Brown now faces up to a year in prison for violating the terms of her probation. What's wrong Foxy? Why can't you keep away from the law?

Britney Spears’ locks for sale on EBay?

2_133456_1_248.jpgThe owners of the salon where the singer shaved her head Friday told reporters Spears' cut-off tresses were saved and may be sold for a good cause. It’s still being discussed if it will be sold on EBay or just auctioned off for a charity. Spears said she wanted to get her head shaved because she was tired of her hair extensions and wanted to have her hair bald like Sinead O’Connor. In responding to Britney's request, the hairdresser let her know she did not want to be responsible for shaving Spears' hair, the singer then asked if she could do the deed herself. Due to the unwillingness of the hairdresser, Britney grabbed the shears and started to cut her own hair, then the hairdresser realized she was serious about it, took the shears and shaped it up. Britney, what can we expect next?

Iwer George is the new Soca Monarch

p7_Iwer George.jpgNeil “Iwer” George, captured the title of International Soca Monarch 2007, with his runaway hit, “Fete After Fete”. During Iwer’s performance, it seemed like everyone in the venue was jumping and waving to his directions. So when the judges called out the final results no one was surprised. The title of Groovy Soca

Monarch went to Biggie Irie of Barbados with “Nah Going Home”, making him the first ever non-Trinibagonian to cop the top prize. Patrons praised promoters,

Caribbean Prestige Foundation, for producing a well-organized and smoothly executed competition, especially since it was at a new venue. Many in the crowd were pleased the show was held in the Stadium, since there was enough seating and accommodation for party lovers when they got tired during the eight-hour long event. Big up and congrats to you Iwer!!
