Brit
on suicide watch!!!
What
is this I am hearing? Britney Spears tried to kill herself? They say "money
can't give you happiness" and this sure proves it! They say Brit tried to
kill herself over the weekend by attempting to hang herself with a blanket. On
top of that, she now regards herself as the anti-Christ and scribed
"666" on her baldhead. "I am the Antichrist!" she
reportedly said at Promises rehab clinic. Now, she is on suicide watch! Her
ex-hubby K-Fed has been reportedly helping her out a lot and they might even be
working things out. I hope so, because this babe is in need of God for real! I
hope she can get it together. Girl you need to take the money and take a long
vacation to Jamaica.
I am sure you will be happier when you return.

This past
weekend I attended two events. I started
off on Friday night at Trinisouthboyz event, “Crazy,” at Yage (formerly
Madhouse). I wasn’t sure what to expect,
as I see some things haven’t changed.
The flyer stated doors open at midnite.
The doors opened slightly late, and while I may have had about 20 or so
persons ahead of me, I got in at about half past midnite. DJ House Arrest was playing an assortment of
new music from Trinidad. The crowd trickled in and the vibes started
getting good. House Arrest didn’t overdo
it with the new music, and played a nice variety of old soca that everyone
seemed to enjoy. While it takes time for
people to get used to the new tunes, there really wasn’t a large number of
party tunes out of Trinidad. The crowd response to Iwer’s, “Fete After
Fete,” was very mild to Blazers, “Be Mine Tonight.” Machel’s, “Jumbie,” seemed to be the favorite
of the night.

The self acclaimed Bad Gyal
Ce’cile has managed to pull a new one out of her hat this year, with a new
look, new sound and new upcoming album. The artiste who has not been too much
on the Jamaican scene for a while is actually busy making waves overseas,
working on music for Japan
and the UK.
The sexy singjay, whose
songs, “Woman Tings” and collaboration with Grammy winner Sean Paul, “Can yuh
do di wuk” have been hits in Jamaica and overseas, has just released a new
single “Take It Off” featuring Smujii from Abood Music in London. The feisty diva, who has challenged the
status quo at home, is now linking up with reggaeton artistes and Jamaican
artistes on the new Matadore album set for release in March. Ce’cile is
featured on two collaborations on this album and is actually the sole Jamaican
female artiste to be featured.
