Perhaps societies would be uncomplicated were it not for the several laws, rules, and so-called moral codes that complicate the natural order of those that live in them. With increasing frequency, there are reports of “decent” people being involved in situations that are contrary to society’s rules, laws, and the vows they took. The latest incident involves Father Alberto Cutie, a Roman Catholic Priest, who was, up to recently, the head priest at a Miami Brach Catholic Church. However, Cutie has been suspended from the church and his pastoral duties because pictures of him in compromising positions with a woman on a Miami Beach were published in a Mexican magazine. In most other religions, it is normal for a man and a woman to relax and act intimately anywhere they choose, but some five centuries ago the Roman Catholic Church established the vow of celibacy that that men ordained to the priesthood are required to take. Women who decide to become nuns are also required to abstain from sex and marriage.
