With a unique twist of reporting news from the nations of the Caribbean and news relevant to the Caribbean Diaspora, featuring known Caribbean journalists and columnists, the Caribbean National Weekly has evolved into the trusted source for accurate news in the community.

This newspaper is the only local Caribbean publication with a weekly frequency and a strong statewide circulation. It was launched in December 2004, and has been published on a weekly basis ever since.

The paper was created with the mission to fill the void for frequent news for the Caribbean-American population in Florida. It offers that community a medium that adequately and comprehensively delivers the news relevant to the Caribbean-American communities and the news as it occurs in their respective countries. The extended mission is to provide a strong advertising avenue for businesses targeting the Caribbean-American market.

Together with the support staff of writers, graphic designers, sales and advertising personnel, and printers, the founding core members of CNWeekly have expanded the newspaper from an initial circulation of 5,000 copies to its current weekly circulation of 35,000.

CNWeekly is currently distributed throughout Miami-Dade, Broward, and Palm Counties as well as locations in Tampa, Orlando, Melbourne and Jacksonville.

The short-term objective is to increase the newspaper’s circulation and expand distribution deeper in South Florida and to additional Caribbean-American communities in Florida. The long-term plan is to extend distribution to Caribbean-American communities throughout the United States and fully interpret the banner of CNWeekly as the weekly paper of Caribbean nationals residing throughout the US.
